CHERUB by Robert Muchamore is the new book I’ve been reading it’s about a boy  named James Choke who accidentally cut a girl named Samantha Jennings on a rusty nail on the wall and ran home to find his mum dead. This story is interesting and is easy to follow so you don’t have to keep flicking back twenty pages each time you get to another event. Over this term our class will be doing a research project of their choice for homework. For this project I decided to do the Rolls Royce company. The reason I chose to do this is because it is something I don’t know anything about and I also had lots of questions about it so hopefully by the end of this term I would have learnt allot more about the Rolls Royce company.

Last week was book week this is a whole week filled with book related activities. To kick the week off we had a visit from the world renowned author Michael Panckridge in his visit Micheal talked to us about his experiences as an author and about is years in primary school. Later in the week we had the book week parade this when every kid in the school dresses up as their favourite book character (I dressed up as will from the Rangers apprentice) and walks around the quadrangle in their classes, except this year we did it in the gym because it was raining.All in all this was a great week which remember for many years to come.

This year we have had the new high flyer grid for term 1, the high flyer grid contains 5 separate qualities which then have 2 or more criteria which then needs to be completed. This term I was surprised at how easy it was to get the criteria completed and presented to a satisfactory level. The thing I enjoyed the most was that you got the chance to stand up and talk in front of a group of people which I haven’t had the chance to do that much so far this year. By the end of the year I hope to achieve all the high flyer criteria and receive a high flyer with honours.

The past week our class has been doing an inquiry on who is Australian? I did a interview with glitch and blogger. I was one of the interviewers along with glitch. We had about 12 questions. The person who judged me was danielson, he actually gave me quite a good mark and good comments.

In class we have we have been trying to decide whether we should have iPods and mp3s in class. Over the next 3 weeks I would like you to write a comment saying whether you think we should have iPods and mp3s in class or we shouldn’t have iPods and mp3s.
